Tennis, one of the most popular sports today, has come a long way since the primitive ball and racquet competition on “terre battue” (red clay) to the Grand Slam events of today, which boast multiple stadiums and draw tens of thousands of fans each day, along with worldwide television audiences and millions in corporate sponsorships.

Tennis legends like Borg, McEnroe, Graf, Evert and our very own Indian starts like Krishnan, Amritraj and more recently Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi have created the game and a huge desire to learn and play the game at a recreational and competitive level across the globe.

At an International Level, one of the most distinct developments in tennis has been in the area of training. Tennis authorities all over the world including ITF, LTA and even the AITA have recognized that an early adaptation to the sport helps identify talent at an early age and this talent can be honed to create much younger grand slam champions.

Tennis is an amazing sport and research shows that it is one of the healthiest, least injurious of sport which youngsters, elder’s (Young at Heart!) enjoy playing.
